STONE TOOLS

 

Stone Tools include axes, celts, pestles, sandstone pipes, hammerstones, discoidals and other hardstone tools and relics. The material, color, and the extent of damage will determine the cost of the museum quality restoration.   Texture, and weight balance is very important and always considered in my work.  Stone grain and color is also an important consideration for a quality restoration. I keep my paint blends to a minimum, usually less than 1/8 inch from the repaired areas.
